High quality strop / honing belt for razors. The hanging strap is equipped with solid metal eyelets. The honing belt is used to straighten the burr of the razor. Leathering (honing) is done at a flat angle with the back laid on, facing away from the body in the direction of drawing. The knife should be turned over the back when changing and then pulled off again towards the body, i.e. always against the cutting edge! A change of direction over the cutting edge causes it to become round (crowned) and lose the cut. Regrinding by a professional is then necessary.
